So, 10 years ago, I purchased an Epson Workforce 3540 printer. This printer has been a great workhorse for us. We use it for copying, scanning, printing and I even print photos on it. If you get glossy photo paper, the photo quality is good. We use this regularly, especially with the kids, we have so much printing, scanning, copying of forms for school, camps, scouts, etc. I specifically purchased this because it because I wanted low cost printing. The toner is much cheaper than any printer we've owned before. I've had no additional needs like print heads or any other replacement component. And I knew it was a while ago, but didn't realize it had already been 10 years until I just looked up the receipt in my email. 8 years ago, a friend who was on a budget, asked my recommendations and she purchased a lower cost version of the wf-3540 and she has been using it for 8 years. Prior, my printers had lasted about 6-8 years and the toner was much more expensive. This Epson has been such a cost savings. I researched on-line and bought it from the lowest cost vendor on-line that had free shipping. I recommend that you look at the newer versions of the Epson Workforce line and buy the one that fits your usage needs the best. It's been well worth it for us.
