I don’t blame his teacher because it looked like the kids were learning something but I know kids whose parents didn’t catch on to the scam would be screwed in first or second grade when the f&p techniques fall apart.  That curriculum should be banned and the very wealthy publishers sued.  I don’t know what the new curriculum will be like but if it’s based on phonics that is at least a big step in the right direction. [/quote]
