I have a 8 year old DS who really loves (and is pretty great at) rec baseball and keeps asking for opportunities to advance his skills/play with more competitive kids. For a variety of reasons, we aren’t interested in pursuing a travel team at this age, but we’d love to give him an opportunity to expand his baseball playing. It feels like we’re stuck in a place where he’s miles better than his rec teammates, but also loves a lot of other sports so we don’t want to pigeon hole him into a higher level of year-round baseball this young. Is there some sort of Goldilocks solution around here like camps/clinics we could supplement with in the off season while he plays other fall sports? We are in Falls Church, but open to driving into Arlington/Alexandria/Fairfax or maybe even DC or close in MD for a good fit. Or even open to the idea of a college kid or young coach who does private lessons (but not looking for anything crazy intense). My DH is already hands on as well, so there is parental involvement as well.
Andy Bradley offers this - Bradley Baseball Academy. He has an indoor facility in Reston and offers individual training and camps/clinics throughout the year. In the summer he has outdoor, all day camps. Here's a link to his website: https://bradleybaseballacademia.com/
