You need to find the best local travel team and join now. Some of the best teams are very loyal to their players and you won’t be able get in later no matter how talented he is. I would do stars. Don’t wait. We waited and then ended up in a horrible predatory organization and had to wait years to get into the good, local team.

Agree. We had very good experience.
TBH, I'm not a huge fan of baseball camps other than fun, socialization, showcase and experience.
I can see benefits for someone who is absolute begginer or similar, but marginal learning after certain level.

The weekly sessions are perfect in this hot weather. We found the all day camps to be too much all at once. These guys do private lessons too, but the group sessions run all year

Hi OP, we have also been looking for private coaching for my 10 year old DS. No recommendations based on experience yet, but I'd just note that there do seem to be a lot of options out there, so I'd check reviews of places you find on Google maps. For what it's worth, we are further out in Fairfax County (Reston area) and here people tend to recommend Pinkman or MVP.
There are definitely baseball camps going on through the summer (Pinkman, MVP, and others offer them) and I have seen "baseball intensive" options, which might be a good fit for your son. The downside of the camps, at least for us, has been that they seem to only run for a half day, which is a non-starter for me as a working mom. But if you don't have schedule constraints, that might be a good option. I think there are typically a couple different location options (Reston, Vienna, etc.). I think there are winter camps available too--not sure about fall.

My DH is already hands on as well, so there is parental involvement as well.
