The Fair Lakes part of Fairfax is basically due west of Dunn Loring - but pretty far out from Arlington, especially in traffic. Much of Springfield, which is huge, is south (except, of course, North Springfield). I wonder if the OP is confusing Fairfax Station/Lorton with Fairfax? I agree that getting traveling south in traffic is long, but the cardinal directions are confusing. Also OP I don't know if you have ever gone to TSJ in rush hour from where you are, but I'm 15 minutes west of there. It's a wreck in traffic to get anywhere in and out of that facility.[/quote]
