Teammates who do travel play on Team Durant and Tram Takeover. He’s not quite on that level.

Sorry, boy team.

I see now. Yeah, I know St. James has the Thunder for girls. They had a boys team too but only went through 8th grade. Wonder why they don’t field HS teams.

Thank you! Hadn’t heard of them. Anyone have a take on their coaching?

NP. I had the same question. Fairfax City proper is pretty much due west from Shirlington. The Fair Lakes part of Fairfax is basically due west of Dunn Loring - but pretty far out from Arlington, especially in traffic. Much of Springfield, which is huge, is south (except, of course, North Springfield). I wonder if the OP is confusing Fairfax Station/Lorton with Fairfax? I agree that getting traveling south in traffic is long, but the cardinal directions are confusing.

Also OP I don't know if you have ever gone to TSJ in rush hour from where you are, but I'm 15 minutes west of there. It's a wreck in traffic to get anywhere in and out of that facility.

OP here. It takes me 20 min to go from Shirlington to St. James with no traffic.35-40 with traffic. With no traffic, takes me 45 min to get to Fairfax City. 30 min to get to Bowie.

Why are there no teams in South Arlington, North Alexandria, or Springfield?

Jaysus. Some people actually do have teams closer than an hour away.

What 14U / 15U basketball teams are active in the Shirlington, North Alexandria, Springfield area?

Are there any AAU teams that practice at the St. James? We live in North NOVA and all the AAU teams seem to be based in Fairfax and further south, which is like an hour away. An hour and half in peak traffic.

Bowie, MD is even closer to us than Fairfax.

I know all the tryouts have happened already but hoping to find a team that might have had a player drop out or who might be open to adding one.

TIA.
