If CS has a higher in-state makeup (no idea if this is actually the case) than the overall university, combined with the fact that CS has the highest yield at UMD, that could help explain a very high CS yield. But in any case, even if some of the figures are off, the take-away is that it's tough to get into CS at UMD. Your theory about terrible reach outcomes could be part of it. But for our family, UMD CS was just an excellent cost/quality combo that was tough to beat. [/quote]
