I used to use the living room which has a computer hooked up to the TV. The good part was that the TV was large and there was plenty of room. The bad part was that it was the middle of the house and people were always around and I had to move some furniture out of the way and it always just felt like a bit of an ordeal. Then a few months ago I moved the furniture around in our bedroom and thought maybe I could workout in there in the space in front of the dresser. Turns out it was plenty of space -- not as much as in the living room but enough and with the benefit of not having to move stuff out of the way. Plus it's less annoying to keep my workout gear in the bedroom than in the living room where it gets in the way more (just a mat and some yoga blocks and a bunch of dumbbells but enough that it took up some space). Anyway it was amazing how much better it was to have a space away from everyone else that I didn't need to set up. I work out so much more and I love that I can workout whenever and not have to accommodate anyone else in a common area. I don't even miss the big TV -- using my laptop means I can put the screen wherever I want it so I can put it on the floor if I need to or set it up higher to stand.
