I just use my phone and roll out a mat in front of the washer and dryer. It’s the only space available and works fine for me! I put my phone on the workbench with DH’s tools.

Yoga in my bedroom (it's small) but enough space for the mat and movement. I use my phone and have one of those bendy iPhone holders that I can put wherever is the right height for the workout. Abs and Arms can easily be done in the same space- everything gets stored in a box in the corner. Cardio works are outdoors for me - so no issues finding space for that. I like have a space I can close a door and get some privacy - hence the bedroom. I did clear out basement space but I like the lighting and feel of my bedroom better.

I did mine in the living room/TV room. I connected my iPad to the TV (using an HDMI connection) so I could watch he videos on the bigger screen.

I used to use the living room which has a computer hooked up to the TV. The good part was that the TV was large and there was plenty of room. The bad part was that it was the middle of the house and people were always around and I had to move some furniture out of the way and it always just felt like a bit of an ordeal.

Then a few months ago I moved the furniture around in our bedroom and thought maybe I could workout in there in the space in front of the dresser. Turns out it was plenty of space -- not as much as in the living room but enough and with the benefit of not having to move stuff out of the way. Plus it's less annoying to keep my workout gear in the bedroom than in the living room where it gets in the way more (just a mat and some yoga blocks and a bunch of dumbbells but enough that it took up some space).

Anyway it was amazing how much better it was to have a space away from everyone else that I didn't need to set up. I work out so much more and I love that I can workout whenever and not have to accommodate anyone else in a common area. I don't even miss the big TV -- using my laptop means I can put the screen wherever I want it so I can put it on the floor if I need to or set it up higher to stand.

OP here. Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. Getting one of the kids to move out is probably the real solution; but sounds like a tablet would be the best solution until then. LOL. In the meantime, I also like the AirPlay to TV suggestion may be good if there isn't lag in the video feed.
Thank you -- everyone's comments were very helpful. Happy to have more if anyone has any others to share!

OP. I get that and agree. I'm far from concerned about perfection. I just haven't managed to figure out a comfortable set-up with a video that is easily visible and to follow along. Suitable 3-D space is tricky enough. I do have a walking pad that I keep propped up against the wall behind chairs in the tv room that just requires scooching one chair a few inches enough to provide a width for using the pad without arms banging into the wall or furniture. But I need to do more than that.
Thank you!

All you need is an area a little longer and wider than a yoga mat. I use an iPad for my workouts at home. But when I go to the gym I have no problem using my iPhone propped up against the floor and the wall, or leaning on a chair. So don’t think you need to trick out your space. If you are able, keep the yoga mat out all the time. It’s one less hurdle to doing a workout when you can just walk onto the mat.

I use my bedroom. Weights and yoga mat are stacked neatly along one wall. A step slides under my bed. I use my laptop on my dresser for the video.

Definitely get an iPad and keep a basket of equipment in your living room.

When I had this type of setup, I did everything in the living room w a table/phone and stand, or airplay to tv. Get a big basket to store yoga mat and weights and then it’s all easily accessible when you’re ready to workout.

Get a cheap or used tablet and a stand. I use a cycling desk in my basement and if I didn’t have the space I could just take it all apart in five minutes. I got an open box tablet at Best Buy for $200 I have used it for hundreds of hours of directed workout content. You could also just as easily use your phone.

I store all my weights (kettlebells and dumbbells) in a coat closet and I do all my strength training in our front living room and put it all away. ~3-5 minutes of logistics for that.
