Ha! I’m signed up to time, hope it won’t be too hot. Yes I’m excited for the kick off. My kids will be B meeters this year based on what I know about who is in their age group. They’re happy with that, we are happy with that. It’s all about the fun and camaraderie. Enjoy, op!!
I'm really hoping my kids line up this year so I don't have only one making A meets, with the other being sad every week about being left out. I'd be totally okay with them both only making B meets, but I don't like the split. It would be nice if we could spend Saturdays together as a family. Kids are 8 and 10 yo. Last year my brand new 7 yo made all the A meets in her first season on the team, but the 9-10 yo bracket was really tough for the 9 yo.
This is tough. My kids are 9 and 7, so they line up that they are both the oldest in their group every other year. We’re in our “development year” of the cycle, so I am excited to have my Saturdays free, and just relax and have fun this season working the concessions and timing. I love Friday morning breakfasts and having coffee with my friends the other days. I am also thankful that the older one is swimming 50s, so they can’t compare times. I have 2-3 years until we face the reality that the younger one may be a faster swimmer - not age adjusted, but flat out faster than his older brother.
