At Northeastern, we have always been committed to providing every application with a thorough and holistic review, and we will continue to do so. Our internal data analyses suggest that high school rigor and academic performance are the strongest predictors of subsequent academic success at Northeastern.

Applicants will continue to choose whether to share test scores as part of the admissions process. If the test results truly reflect their abilities, we encourage applicants to submit test scores. Regardless of their testing choice, all applicants will continue to be fully considered for all enrollment opportunities, selection for the John Martinson Honors Program, and merit scholarships. Non-native English-speaking applicants will continue to be required to submit results from an English language proficiency exam (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, Cambridge English, or Duolingo) or will need to request a waiver after they have applied.
