Yes, we had planned for DC to take summer ASL classes if the HS wouldn’t waive the FL requirement, but they did. We know this limits school selection bc some colleges won’t budge on the HS FL requirement for admission even if the HS waived it, and we’re ok with that. If DC has to take ASL in college that’s what will happen, but it sounds like there may be some that waive FL altogether (or like pp said, offer a non-lang alternative), so that’s what I’m asking about. We’ve found plenty that offer ASL instead, and DC is open to that too. [/quote]
Adding because I just realized I may not have been clear in my original ask, we’re curious about colleges that waive the FL requirement for graduation, not for admissions. [/quote]
