Also -- do you color or bleach your hair? I have gone through phases where I've tried to just let the grays come in (there aren't that many of them) but I feel like it contributes to this kind of colorlessness of my appearance. I color my hair with a dark blonde demi-permanent dye (essentially my natural color) and it helps give my hair a bit more depth of color. It doesn't even fully cover the grays, and it fades because it's demi-perm (so no harsh line), but it just creates some depth so that my hair, skin, and features don't all just blend together.

I think this is just how a lot of blondes age -- you just fade. But even blondes who go gray benefit a ton from a bit of makeup to put some color on their cheeks and define their eyes. I know she's a lot older than we are, but look at Helen Mirren's makeup. She is tinting her rows, wearing mascara and eyeliner, and always has color on her cheeks and lips. It doesn't look harsh or unnatural, it enhances her beauty. Without it, even she would look very washed out.[/quote]
