Maybe I need to do a makeup consult. My skin has a lot of pink and red tones in it and I just find that make-up doesn't really blend in or look good but I also really know nothing about make-up.
I haven't gone grey. I do have some age related white / transparent hair but it is evenly distributed throughout my head so it has actually made my hair look blonder - like I have highlights. I have highlighted my hair at various times throughout my life but now it looks pretty good naturally with the blonde and natural lighter highlights.
My face is just completely washed out and getting more of a redder tone as I age. I have blue eyes but they don't really stand out anymore, I think they have gotten darker and less blue over the years. My lips don't have a lot of colour and I have no color in my eyebrows and very little in my lashes and my hair is light - so its kind of a blank slate!
Yes, that lightening/blondening from the white hair is contributing to the washed out look. You definitely need a makeup consult. I think you will be shocked by what a quick 5 minute routine, including a tinted moisturizer or sunscreen to even out those red spots AND an eyebrow tint will do to open up your face.
I'd start there before the eyebrow lift at least!
