Anyone recall what book this was in?[/quote] This is also why I don't pull out into the intersection while waiting for the opportunity to turn left - you are just exposing yourself to any possible accident that can take place during the 30 seconds you are waiting. I stay behind the line. Learned that in a superb driver's ed course in California. You can honk all you want. I've never been in an accident and have never caused one.[/quote]
