Our Recycle truck guy refuses to take ours in Montgomery county. Anytime I have a Brown bag filled with those, he just tosses them into my trash can or driveway. I have tried recycling them at a Whole Food nearby- but I saw them dumping it in the trash can. I asked about store recycle and they said they just trash them. :( Just to clarify I am talking about the white and blue envelope like plastic packaging with some cushioning ( they say store recycle but also have numbered recycle symbol on them). Thanks for any suggestions.
Yes, please stop putting things in your recycling bin that are not accepted. People shouldn't have to pick through your bin to remove things that could damage their machinery or require someone to work to pull it out. Go on a field trip to the Recycling Center at Shady Grove and take a look at all of the stuff that they have to pull out. Next, if you have a question about recycling in MoCo, we have an extensive page with a long list of items that you can click on to find out how to dispose of them. In your case, the link is here: https://www2.montgomerycountymd.gov/DepHowDoI/material.aspx?tag=plastic-bags&material_key=63
