[/quote] PP here- I think so- They call the method laparoscopically Assisted Abdominal Myomectomy (LAAM®)- I had a small incision in my belly button and then a shorter one where a c-section scar would be. I had done consults with 2 other OBs before finding them who said they would do open myomectomies. After my fibroid removal when the recovery was way easier than I had anticipated I asked my surgeon why this wasnt just the standard and she said its because that was just the method people learned in school so that is what they do.
