PP here- I think so- They call the method laparoscopically Assisted Abdominal Myomectomy (LAAM®)- I had a small incision in my belly button and then a shorter one where a c-section scar would be. I had done consults with 2 other OBs before finding them who said they would do open myomectomies. After my fibroid removal when the recovery was way easier than I had anticipated I asked my surgeon why this wasnt just the standard and she said its because that was just the method people learned in school so that is what they do.

My gyn recommended Dr. James Barter and Dr. Albert Steren. I plan to consult with them later this year.

VA prefer but willing to go MD or DC too.

I have two 10cm fibriods (submocosal) and would like to consult GYN surgeons for laparoscopic or robotic hysterectomy. 40 years old and not plan to have anymore kids. Anyone has doctor recommendation or share similar experience? Thank you so much.
