[/quote] +1 This is how I use mine - mostly as a gym bag, sometimes for shopping. I always travel with it, but I take another handbag. If I don't use it as my airplane bag I fold it at the bottom of my suitcase for overflow, just in case. I love it! Just don't think it will substitute for a handbag. They are indeed different. I do take it for a day bag and put my wallet in there if I'm touring a city, doing a bit of shopping, and want to take a bottle of water and an extra layer or umbrella. I have a large (the size down from the one with the expandable zipper).[/quote]
