I'm grateful for a husband who is okay with my not changing my name as well, I guess... but only because I am grateful for my husband, period. I secretly don't understand how a woman could marry a man who wasn't okay with her keeping her name. Especially women I think of as relatively forward thinking. I mean, everyone is different and I get the arguments for changing one's name, but I mean, c'mon, if I was engaged to a guy that wasn't okay with my keeping my name that engagement would be over quickly.[/quote]
