The bottom of the pad is grippy and the top is felt. They were all purchased from Kellogg Collection, but as we were redoing floors and painting, etc. they weren't directly installed by them - and since it's been well over a year from purchase don't think I can call them. I will try the double sided tape - do I put that between the rug pad and the floor or the pad and rug. Is there a recommendation of a special kind of tape?
You can definitely call them, and you should! Does “grippy” still look like felt? Felt rug pads sometimes have a kind of clear coated side and a soft side. Soft side down. If the rug pad isn’t moving, you put the tape between the rug pad and the rug. You can put it on the floor but it will be a pain when you need to remove it (goo gone required). Probably you just need new rug pads but I also still suspect the rug pad is upside down. It might be worth trying to flip it.
