Eh, the fact that he had a black girlfriend has been public knowledge since 2000. I read about it in this old article: www.ryandonmoyer.com. She was a cheerleader at his college or something.

I do think it's disingenuous to act like a conservative Republican having a black girlfriend is somehow not interesting or noteworthy -- of course it is. So, I find a lot of the "so? is this news?" commentary to be a little stupid. Yes, I think it will surprise people who have a caricature of how conservative Republicans are supposed to act. But does it "matter" in the course of the presidential news election? No.[/quote]
