I’ve never heard of anyone having a cat that they couldn’t trim the nails of. That’s crazy. What happens when you try and aren’t able to? What does the cat do that keeps you from being able to cut the nails?
Not the OP but the first time I tried to trim my current cat's claws I got bit. I knew the possibility of infection was pretty high with cat bites so I went to urgent care thinking they'd just send me home with antibiotic pills but they ended up sending me to the ER for IV antibiotics (and an xray). I've had cats before and had trimmed their claws with no issues. But I was out of practice and my technique was bad. Ever since then, I've been pretty hesistant to try trimming them again. And I probably would pay like around $15 bucks for someone else to do it. I know I can try wrapping the cat up in towel or blanket. But a pro can do it all in just 2-3 minutes. I agree with the suggestions to find a groomer.
