ECNL went into boys started in 2017 and was a direct competitor to boys DA. It never really gained traction. This is because with boys playing professionally is higher priority than playing in college.

When DA blew up boys DA became MLS Next. MLSN is more appealing than ECNL because players have the option of playing professionally or in college. Also it's considered higher tier than ECNL because of the Acadamies.

So again just like with GA, ECNL created the "problem" that you wish didn't exist. (Boys ecnl)[/quote]
