I have complications with my pregnancy. Maybe it's hyperemesis. Maybe it's one of many conditions requiring bedrest.

I cannot have an abortion. Those are illegal now. There is no publicly funded health care, and the women's clinics that might have cared for me last year have either been defunded, or are so totally overwhelmed that their earliest appointment is four months from now. My employer is not required or motivated to offer any kind of paid leave or short term disability. I have no family and no assets.
