I understand why it is upsetting and am not dismissing that, but empathy and continued support for your child and discussions with the school on how they can support is best.

Also, it may sound counterintuitive but a few playdates may do them well. 1:1 time without the stress of school. My son and another kid used to really have a hard time together, somewhat similar. A few playdates helped and by the end of preschool they were very close actually. They both were just going through a hard time in different ways in terms of some developmental things[/quote]
