Restoration hardware always seemed like a rip off to me. They are charging bespoke prices for mass produced stuff. My neighbors did get some nice couches at an outlet for a decent price but that was a long while ago and they may have just lucked out (maybe the store ordered the wrong color or something).
It is. I used to love a lot of their stuff and still like some of it, but stumbled across this blogger who sourced some of their items awhile back. it was eye opening. I've even seen a few items on ebay advertised supposedly from the manufacturer in China. We know everything is marked up from production costs, but there is mark up and there is are you kidding me?? https://laurelberninteriors.com/shocking-truth-restoration-hardware/
