Outlets are always crap. You know a brand is on the downswing when it opens one.

I loved RH back when it was a quirky-ish hardware/variety store. The transformation to overpriced furniture with the ridiculous catalog was so disappointing.

It is. I used to love a lot of their stuff and still like some of it, but stumbled across this blogger who sourced some of their items awhile back. it was eye opening. I've even seen a few items on ebay advertised supposedly from the manufacturer in China. We know everything is marked up from production costs, but there is mark up and there is are you kidding me??

I don't know about the outlet, but I'm sitting on an amazingly comfy, and IMHO good looking RH sofa right now.

We have several RH furniture items and love them all.

+1. me too. Overpriced in the catalogue as well

I've learned that you can find most of the stuff on RH and Pottery barn on wayfair that looks the same for 1/4 of the price, i think they use the same overseas factories but don't have the brand

Yup, RH is cheap imported furniture with a huge mark up. I’m always amazed how many are hoodwinked into believing it’s ever worth the price.

If you want me to visit a furniture store where I haven’t browsed the inventory ahead of time, you have to pay me.

Their catalog is jaw droppingly awful, don't want to know what's in the outlet.

I have never understood how these things existed. The prices are extremely high for garbage. Most of the stuff is broken and damaged, or stuff they never sold in stores. But they're still charging like 50% of the instore price, so like the same as what you would pay if you just bought something new at crate and barrel. Just buy not broken stuff from crate and barrel.

One opened near me so we went out of curiosity. Their outlet has cheap fake wood looking cabinets for 1500, coffee tables for 1k, brown tiny wall decor plaques for $500? And many items were 2k, 5k, 6k...All in a space that looks like a bare warehouse. Why?! None of it looked good enough for the prices being charged.
