I know that missing kids alerts often come through my neighborhood Listserve or FB group, for example, so it tends to be kids who live in our broader neighborhood or attend local schools. This means that the alerts mirror the demographics of the neighborhood. 2) The report that PP linked noted that unaccompanied minors go missing, often because they only have loose ties to their sponsors.
