You don’t play HS soccer for development, you play for fun. [/quote] This is mostly true. I will say, however, that if you play private your kid is more likely to make varsity earlier, and I think it helped my son’s development to play varsity as a freshman, and have to face stronger, faster players every day in practice. Of course, that comes with a higher injury risk, but we got lucky. [/quote]
