Im waiting for the scale to budge. I stopped drinking after 12/31 and the scale has been pretty much stuck at the same weight. My clothes feel looser.
I did a Dry January and surprised myself by keeping it going day-by-day. I have a solid 30 to lose and only lost 3 in the whole month of January. It was depressing, though I felt better. In the 19 days of February, I lost 6 already. I think it is that I spent January focused on not drinking. Now that I am confident in that I am focused on eating better and moving better. It is working!
I only have 10 I want to lose and I was already working out a lot and my diet wasn’t terrible. I really thought there would be a loss with no alcohol. Even 2lbs. But I’m stuck at the same weight.
I found layering in time restricted eating/intermittent fasting to be really helpful and I had a lot of health gains after doing so. Dr. Jason Fung has a lot of YT vids and his team does a podcast, The Fasting Method, with a lot of good advice. Was a game changer for me and also seemed to better regulate hunger hormones which made changes easier.
