My 7th grader took the world language exam this year and got 3 credits. Our counselor said that there is no need to take a language elective in 8th grade. How does this affect the TJ application in 8th grade? 
From my understanding it does not affect it, but just wanted to confirm.

The exam only three credits will transfer to high school transcript as pass/fail and with no GPA impact.  No impact to TJ application.

Technically the three credits pass/fail meet the FCPS or TJ minimum graduation requirement.  But then top segment of TJ students complete four years of world language for letter grade, as well as associated AP exam, which also makes their college application competitive.  [/quote]
