Something like this: https://www.wayfair.com/Viv-Rae™--Harold-Twin-Platform-Bed-X114665259-L1074-K~W003554148.html?refid=GX685159893086-W003554148_1526342817&device=m&ptid=451349029183&network=g&targetid=pla-451349029183&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=68927929&fdid=1817&PiID%5B%5D=1526342817&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD9ISC5VPQ8AYH3cyCx2RWko27j9v&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwN32kquihAMV90pHAR2ykwskEAQYAiABEgKR_PD_BwE&piid=1526342816 Or one twin bed with a trundle pull out bed underneath. You only pull the trundle out at night so they have more space to play/move around in their room during the day. To everyone suggesting the kids learn to change their own sheets: I agree that they should learn but there will still likely be some times that OP winds up being the one to do it let’s be realistic. Kid wakes up in the middle of the night vomiting in bed. You’re making the kid clean/change their own sheets? Then what about other scenarios where it may be hard for OP to reach up or climb up onto the top bunk? (Kid is sick/injured and needs parent to help him in/out of bed. Kid is scared/has bad dream and wants parent to lie w him. Etc)
