I have a young HS student, so all my college application experience is 30 years out of date. But don’t most colleges recalculate GPA anyway to do it consistently?
That’s my understanding. FCPS gives a GPA bump for honors classes, but you need a 93 to make an A. APS only gives the bump for AP/IB/DE, but a 90 is an A. So imagine the inconsistencies across the state or country. From what I’ve heard, colleges look at what classes you took, and what grade you earned in them more than looking at the GPA your high school calculated.
