Unless I missed it, I don't see a thread yet. This show (on Netflix) about the story behind the recording of We are the World was a LOT better than I thought it would be. A lot of nostalgia, a lot of amazing artists. The one-two combination of watching this and Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs perform gave me all the feels. Extensive interviews with Lionel Richie, Bruce Springsteen, Sheila E, Huey Lewis, Cyndi Lauper, cameramen and sound techs who were there. Never knew the backstory of why Prince wasn't there. Waylon Jennings bailing when Stevie Wonder wanted to do lyrics in Swahili (until someone pointed out Ethiopians speak Amharic, at which point Stevie wanted lyrics in Amharic and Jennings was all ain't no good o'le boy gonna sing in Amharic and was out). Stevie showing Bob Dylan HOW TO SING LIKE BOB DYLAN. If you're Generation X (or even if you're not), it's worth the watch. Two thumbs up, as Siskel and Ebert would have said.
