The drivers have to be advised of their rights and that they may say no. 10% of all recovered guns were from traffic stops last year. And those aren't from someone lawfully transporting for lawful use. Those are guns that were likely used or going to be used to hurt community members -- most likely residents of color. Current policy is appropriately balanced to preserve both drivers' rights and community safety. [/quote]
