FWIW, in DD's year there were a lot of strong math kids in the humanities program which made for a very strong math team for Eastern. They did well in competition against places like Frost which is always praised for having strong math. There are kids every year who go from Eastern to Blair's STEM program. Some of the math teachers at Eastern. I am thinking of one male Alg teacher who is particularly terrible but there are bad teachers everywhere. The Geometry teacher who I think teaches most of the humanities kids is very good.[/quote]
