This is pretty shocking. Tens of thousands of tons of tons of new and used clothing, piled in the desert and burned in heaps, releasing toxic fumes. My kids wear a lot of hand me down clothes but not all. I've purchased some recycled clothes. Now I will make an effort to buy much more clothes that are not new. https://gizmodo.com/a-mountain-of-used-clothes-appeared-in-chile-s-desert-1851143267
This makes no sense to me. If you want to do something, buy way fewer clothes and keep them a lot longer.
I haven't bought new clothes for myself in years. But at some point my current clothes will wear out and when I get new clothes, I will look at used rather than buying new clothes from a store. My post wasn't that unclear. Do you buy used clothes or new clothes from a store?
