Hi OP, are you doing own egg or donor? What’s your diagnosis (if you are ok to share).
Hi there, I don’t mind sharing, I will use my own eggs , I am advanced maternal age (42) and have diminished ovarian reserve (my AMH is extremely low, even for my age)…. LoL but somehow I’m still hopeful 🙏🏼
I don't know that I'd do it under those circumstances. You have 1 year left until it's basically not happening (less than 5% live birth rate). I wouldn't waste it overseas.
You got the 5% right, that’s what my current RE said. My other option would be to go to CNY or New Hope for a mini Ivf in NY (their success rates are pretty terrible though). I wish I had more insurance coverage, I would have stayed with my current clinic, but I find the price tag hard to swallow, $20k a cycle for 5% chance! We just went through 2 failed cycles (one got canceled and the other failed implantation), and had a miscarriage over the summer… so kind of worn out, and trying to think outside the box, I’m finding it hard to give up :( Thanks for listening/reading!
I thought CNY was pretty affordable? Do you have embryos left or no? I've had 6 miscarriages, 5 back to back and I finally consulted with one of the few reproductive immunologists in the US and he did extremely detailed work up, found my issues, and actually is treating all of them before my next transfer.
