As for actual evidence, I can confirm that Thoreau doesn't even have a Mathcounts team, while Luther Jackson sends the maximum 12 kids to mathcounts, so you can interpret that as you wish. Ultimately the choice depends on many other factors, not just academics. Even for academics it depends on what type of school environment as well as what types of subjects your child is interested in.[/quote]
