Thank goodness this judge saw things differently, though the Texas Attorney General's office could seek the intervention of a higher court since they said that the woman didn't qualify for a medical exemption.  "Perinatal hospice" is a beautiful option FOR THOSE WOMEN WHO CHOOSE IT.  It should not be a requirement.  And some might point to the extremely rare instances where a baby with Trisomy 18 lives longer than a few hours or days.  This country is not exactly renowned for supporting families who have children with severe disabilities.  Wealthy families have the resources to provide the necessary care and support, but everyone else is on their own.
