We use Fairfax Park and Rec camps a lot. You can down load their spreadsheet of all camps from their website and then sort it. We start by sorting for location, then group by date and take a look at what is available. There are camps at Lake Fairfax and various schools in the area. You should be able to find a good number. The splash and something camp at Lake Fairfax is the one that fills up really fast. The kids spend 2-4 hours at the Watermine each day. It is a good time, send lots of water and sunscreen.

Reston Association runs day camps that are really well run. They have a standard day camp but also specialty camps. Our son enjoyed Sportsters a lot. I know families whose kids really liked the art options. The RA camps are a but more expensive but drop off and pick up is well run and DS always had a good experience with the camps. He out grew wanting to do the regular summer camp and so we branched out a bit more. You also have to pay for early drop off and late pick up.

I would guess that Herndon Community Center has some camps but we have not looked there. [/quote]
