http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/07/26/executive-order-white-house-initiative-educational-excellence-african-am http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/27/obama-backs-race-based-school-discipline-policies/ Eric Holder went to public school in NYC and was selected for a GT program. He attended Stuyvesant where entrance is based solely on a HARD exams. Then Columbia. That school has not varied in admissions testing like TJ [multiple measures designed to increase URM but just got more Asians]. Obama -Sidwell. Holder-GDS. These men and their families have children in K-12. Women the age of their wives are grandmothers in DC. Children raising children. How about them spending time in DC schools and compare curriculum and family involvement? Age of parents? Teen pregnancy? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/18/AR2011021805372.html
Please don't ever cite the Daily Caller as a source for anything ever again.
I know! The punchline for that article is the "expert" commentary of Hans Bader, impressive sounding counsel for the "Competitive Enterprise Institute", whose credentials include "a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights". In reality, his primary activity appears to be blogger for the Washington Examiner and writer of letters to the editor, trading on the credential of a low paid position at CEI, where he appears to have little if any published policy work. His credentials as a "former official" at Dept of Education are not even listed, which makes me think he was a summer intern or associate there for a few years after law school. So this is Daily Caller's formula: create a story with a point of view you want to advance, then make it valid by finding someone who makes a living by getting press quotes, who works at a "friendly" "think tank". Fudge his resume a little, and you are off and running.
