We are going trick or treating and then visiting at a friends house and then driving almost an hour before we are home. So we may not actually be home until 11. Kids will almost certainly be asleep before getting home. Bedtime routine includes getting a bath and brushing teeth and pajamas.
If you have no concern with keeping kids up until 11pm on a school night, your kids will be fine if they skip bath and teeth brushing for 1 night. Put them in bed in their undies.
Also sorry to be a bummer, but you are a parent now. If your kids are old enough to ToT, they are old enough to want to spend time with their friends, not yours. There is no reason to drive an hour and to visit with friends on a weeknight. I get it because my husbands best friend has an EPIC Halloween party 90 mi away we’d gone for 15 years after college and even took our kids and as preschoolers. But our kids are school age now and we prioritize their social lives for ToT and get a babysitter and visit our friends on weekends.
