Some kids are obsessed with soccer and love to be around the sport at all times, whether they're playing or not. That's not my kid so I wouldn't put them in a situation where they're only going to be disappointed.

Having said all that, if your child is interested and knows what they're getting into, then you have to decide if its worth your time. For my child, I would never put them in that situation again where they would consider quitting soccer, especially if it had that much driving. Soccer is a wonderful sport and I hope my children play it for the rest of their lives, but I am not going to put them into a situation where they are going to dislike soccer more after the event than they did before the event.[/quote]
