Oxempic still has harmful side effects, even if you weigh less and are happier.
I’m the pp with an anxiety disorder. My starting BMI was 45 and I had very of failed diet attempts behind me. You really think a BMI of 45 is less risky than Wegovy? Because my bloodwork begs to differ. The question isn’t no risk vs Wegovy risk if you are taking the med under the recommended BMI plus comorbidity guidelines. It’s obesity, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, fatty liver disease risk vs Wegovy. I’ll take Wegovy over heart attack, stroke, kidney or liver failure, etc. Thanks though for the useless comment. The decrease in anxiety is a nice (unexpected) side effect. Based on my MD’s counseling, I was prepared for a jump in anxiety. And I know women who have quit because it ramped up anxiety. For me, it didn’t. IDK why, but I’ll take it. I certainly wouldn’t start or stay on this med to treat anxiety. It’s just as likely to make the problem worse. And would be like using and ax instead of a scalpel.
