And I have a very serious lifelong anxiety disorder. Wegovy/Ozempic meds can cause anxiety, so my MD wanted my psychiatrist and therapist to sign off and to follow me closely before she would prescribe. And I ended up doing so well, I just finished coming off Zoloft. I also stopped binge eating and have lost 50 pounds in 6 months as of today (but it wasn’t weight dropping off. It’s been hard- a very restricted diet, weight training, exercise, regimens). Clearly for me these meds are helping to balance something chemical that was off before. Wegovy really helps with the obsessive thoughts. About food, for sure but also about everything. [/quote]
