The possibility of being a teacher assistant never occurred to me and will have my daughter check this possibility at her school. Similar to the other poster, my daughter couldn't wait to get through PE (took it as a freshman) but I'll encourage her to see if there's a semester only gym/sport class she'd be interested in (like yoga) -- I think she's been focused on the more traditional electives which tend to be year long courses.
