I’m also a white dude and know numerous Indians with teslas, and a few red ones! I drove my Indian buddy to Tyson’s to pick up his Tesla, and over 50% of the vehicles had Indian or Asian names affixed to the cars being picked up. Another Indian friend told me Tesla is preferred because most newer Indians did not grow up with cars as kids back home and the Tesla is much simpler to own vs an ICE vehicle AND the Tesla tech appeals to their nerdy personality.
