Canvas is just one tool — it’s not the official gradebook and it can’t be used for all assignments.  Teachers also can’t enter different dates for different class periods, I think.  It’s not a great program and neither the kids nor teachers love it, but it is the market dominant program for a variety of reasons.  I’m in my 7th year dealing with it as a parent and I’m finally coming to a place of peace with it.  But don’t blame the teachers—they didn’t write the software.[/quote]
